• About the Reese Auto Club

The Reese Auto Club is a pioneering auto club started by students at Reese Career and Technical Center, a school under Fort Bend ISD that provides students with training in technical careers. This club was established in the 2023-24 school year with the objectives of showcasing the auto building capabilities of its members to the local community, participating in car shows and competitions, and increasing employability for its student members.

Although most of the members of this club are students in the Automotive program at Reese Center, it is open to all students at the school. During its first year, the Reese Auto Club successfully organized an auto show in the school parking lot. Major carmakers such as Toyota, Ford, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Volkswagen, among others, showcased their flagship vehicles at the event. The club also encouraged the public to showcase their vintage cars, leading to many community members displaying their classic vehicles. To make the show more attractive, members of the armed forces and police also participated by displaying their vehicles. The local community enjoyed attending the show.

Due to the overwhelming interest and participation from student members, the school donated a 1973 Corvette Stingray body to the club. The challenge for the club is to restore the 1973 Corvette Stingray to its original glory. This project is named "The Stingray Project." The club has been enthusiastically raising funds and receiving donations from patrons to cover the costs of the project. Club members meet multiple times each week after school to work on this exciting initiative.
