Greetings!

My name is Ms. Shamiah Jones! I will be your child’s 2nd  grade teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. This will be my 10th year teaching and my 1st at Heritage Rose Elementary and I am super excited to make this the best year yet! I love to travel and spend time with my two sons. 

I grew up here in Houston, Texas, where I attended Herod Elementary School for kindergarten until 5th grade. I then attended Pershing middle School from 6th- 8th before graduating from Elkins High School in 2006.

In December of 2011, I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Texas State University- San Marcos. In 2013, I graduated from Argosy university for the 2nd time with a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management. Finally, in 2019, I graduated with my second Master’s in Education Administration from Lamar University.
