Welcome to HRE Physical Education! My name is Joel Burris. This is my 6th year of teaching Physical Education. I will be one of the P.E. teachers this year at HRE. Prior to teaching, I was a director for a youth/student outreach organization. Spending time with young people has always been my passion. I absolutely love Physical Education, and I'm a former collegiate student-athlete. 

I was born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I graduated from Putnam City High School and I attended the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO).

My hobbies include spending time with my wife, daughter and extended family. I also enjoy reading, fitness, art, music and trying new food spots.
