Hello!  Welcome to the wonderful world of 3rd Grade!  I am Ms. Lewis!  I am super-excited to have you in my class this year.  I have 20 years of teaching experience.  I graduated from the best university in the city, The University of Houston! (Go COOGS!)  I have a degree in Psychology with a minor in English.  I also have a MEd in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Reading and Science Instruction from Concordia University-Nebraska.  I am excited to be a self-contained teacher this year!  Over the years, I have learned that being self-contained allows my students and me to develop a bond that feels like family.  We cheer and support each other throughout the school year as we learn and grow.

I'm a fur parent.  My dog's name is Khalessi.  She's a lab shepherd mix that is 8 years old.  She's not the best guard dog, but she tries very hard every day!  I love my family!  I love college football.  I support all Houston teams, but I also cheer for Chicago teams too.  I love traveling, shopping, and going to the movies.

I am really looking forward to a great year as we Saddle Up for Success!
