Hello! I'm Mrs. Butler and I am so proud to be a kindergarten teacher at Walter Moses Burton Elementary School.  I have been teaching for well over a decade.  I worked in the South Suburbs of Chicago for several years before relocating to the Houston area.  I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Butler University as well as a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an ESL endorsement.  From a very young age, I knew I wanted to work with children and that passion has evolved into a career in education that I am very proud of.  I have continued to educate myself and evolve in all content areas as well as social and emotional learning.  I pride myself on creating an inclusive and safe environment for all students to learn, grow and achieve their personal best. I look forward to working alongside parents and families to help the students reach their full potential.
