Bachelor of Science Lousiana State University Bilingual Generalist Early Childhood - 4th
Mr. Machado
In 2003, I started my teaching career as a second grade teacher in a Dual Language Program.
During my 19 years in education I have taught kindergarten, first, second and third grade. I have also served as a mentor, teacher appraiser and LPAC chairperson. I am currently teaching a first grade bilingual class at the Early Literacy Center. I am certified for Early Childhood - 4th Bilingual and ESL Education. In addition to that, I have been trained to work with Gifted and Talented students.
Over the years I have had the wonderful opportunity to instruct a diverse group of elementary students, and as a result I have developed highly effective teaching techniques and instructional methods which have allowed me to educate all styles of learners, and foster a fun and engaging learning environment that effectively promotes creativity, and encourages independence.
One of my greatest strengths as an educator is meeting each student's unique needs by developing a personal understanding of each one of them. I achieve this by assessing, analyzing data and implementing strategies to meet each student’s individual needs. Data driven instruction ensures that I can close gaps in student learning and achieve greater student success.
