I have been an elementary educator for 23 years in Texas. I have worked with students from PK to 3rd grade in Title I schools. I introduced the Chance to Dance (sponsored by the Houston Ballet) program at two elementaries where I worked at. This program exposed students to the fine arts. I spearheaded the Hispanic Heritage comittee and was able to invite prominent Hispanic figures to visit the school. I am excited to be starting my 2nd year in FBISD.
