Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Alejos

My name is Kenzie Alejos and I am a fourth grade bilingual reading teacher at Ridgegate Elementary. I am a proud University of Houston Downtown Gator and graduate. I received my Bachelor’s Degree as a EC-6 Bilingual Generalist. Both of my parents are educators, therefore education is a value that is near and dear to my heart. I am particularly passionate about reading because through the pages of a book children can experience adventures using their imagination. When I was a child, I would spend endless hours in my room reading and vicariously living through some of my favorite characters. I am a firm believer that in this life there are many things that we can lose, but knowledge is not one of them.

I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and our 5 pets (Yes 5!)- Our dogs Gordo, Honey, Princess Chloe, Daisy and our cat, Essie.

We love to travel and experience all the cuisine the world has to offer. Our favorite destinations often include tropical beaches.

I am excited to be your child’s teacher this year and look forward to helping them grow as readers. I want to instill in them that they are capable of being anything that they set their minds and hearts to.
