Mrs. Silva
Hi! My name is Claudia Silva, and I am honored to serve as a Bilingual
Reading Interventionist here at Ridgemont Elementary.
I am originally from Venezuela, and Spanish is my native language. In
Venezuela, I earned a degree in Dentistry from the “Universidad de
Carabobo” and had my own practice for about 3 years before moving to
the United States 24 years ago. I continued my education here in the
States and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from
Oklahoma City University. Then, I discovered my true calling and
transitioned into education, obtained my Texas teacher certification, and
have been passionate about teaching ever since. During my career in
education, I have worked as bilingual teacher in grades K through 3rd. I
have also served as a Dyslexia Teacher, Bilingual Reading Coach,
Multilingual Specialist and now as a Reading Interventionist.
I love what I do and genuinely care about each and every one of my
students. I strive to support my students’ academic and personal growth
while instilling in them a love of learning. It is a joy to be part of this
school family, and I look forward to overcoming challenges together and
contributing to our children’s success story
