The Teacher, Literacy Intervention, will provide focused literacy interventions to selected elementary students at the assigned campus. The incumbent will provide leadership and coaching to teachers on effective English/Language Arts and Reading instruction as well as guidance to teachers in utilizing effective reading practices within the classroom setting. This position will assist with assessing and evaluating student achievement, modify instructional activities as required, communicate student progress to classroom teachers, campus administrators and parents and fulfill the duties required by the principal.
Work is performed generally in a classroom environment and other locations within and outside the school building such as cafeteria, playground, library, etc. The position requires standing, walking, sitting, and lifting/carrying work related items weighing 25 pounds or less, such as books, papers, and instructional supplies.
