Dear Families, 

The Colony Bend Elementary is having a soft opening of the Birthday Book Club this spring semester for the 2024-2025 school year! The birthday book club is a fun way to celebrate your child's birthday by donating a book to the school library!  Watch our shelves filled with new books that our students will love!

Here are the great things that happen when you join the Birthday Book Club:

1. CBE gets a new book to enjoy for years to come.  Your child will choose a book from our newly purchased, district approved book list on the BTSB website. 

2. A bookplate with your child's name will be placed on the inside front cover.

3. Your child will be the first person to check out the book (for 2 weeks).

4. Birthday Book Club members will be recognized on a new book display wall on the outside of the library.
   
   

The birthday book club is done through the Bound to Stay Bound Birthday Book Club website. If you are interested in participating, access starts January 2025.

Once the information and payment are completed, your child will receive their birthday book during his/her birthday month.  We will notify your child's teacher when it is time to come to the library and celebrate their book. 

If your child has a summer birthday (June-August) - you could choose to have a half birthday or for those students who have a birthday in late April or May, birthday books will be chosen and distributed in April.
