Welcome to FHE Math! Twenty-eight years ago, I began my teaching career at Sugar Mill Elementary in fifth grade. After fifth grade, I moved to middle school. I have had experience teaching math in grades second through eighth. I have also been a math specialist in both elementary and middle school. I am a FBISD graduate and attended Colony Bend Elementary, First Colony Middle School, and Clements High School. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. My husband and I live in Sugar Land with two wonderful children. I am excited to be a part of the Henry family. I love what I do each day and am proud to call FBISD home!
Math Intervention
Math intervention in Fort Bend ISD uses a program called Number Worlds. My groups meet daily to work on skills from prior grade levels that were not mastered. There are several things you can do at home to help your child get stronger in math. Working on mastering the basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts is essential. Also playing board games, helping to cook, and completing their 5 Dream Box lesson in Schoology will help build math skills.
