Mr. Blasdell was named the assistant principal of Alyssa Ferguson for the 2024-2025 school year. He is honored and excited to work with the students, family, staff and the Alyssa Ferguson community.

Mr. Blasdell comes from a family of educators. His grandmother was a life-long elementary school teacher, and he had aunts and uncles who taught middle and high school science and health. Mr. Blasdell was not always the best student, but he was fortunate to always have teachers who cared about him and strived to help him learn and be his best self. After a difficult time during high school, he realized the impact his teachers were having on him and realized he wanted to help others the way he was helped. He now strives to live a life making positive impacts on others.

Over the years, Mr. Blasdell has served in various roles. He has been an elementary teacher, middle school teacher, football and basketball coach, sports coordinator, ESL specialist, and literacy coach. His experience has solidified his belief that everyone can grow, and the right people can create lifelong positive change in the lives of others. He is a firm believer in supporting others through feedback, positive reinforcement, and relationships.

He believes that Alyssa Ferguson Elementary is a school filled with educators who strive to do what is best for students and is excited to walk along others in their educational journey.
