Welcome to Alyssa Ferguson Elementary!

In April 2022, Ms. Patton was named the founding principal of Alyssa Ferguson during the Fort Bend Board meeting. She is deeply humbled and honored to lead the students, staff and community of this wonderful school.

Ms. Patton's journey into education began with a dream she had in third grade. Tasked with writing an autobiography, she declared her aspiration to become a third grade teacher. Ironically, her first teaching position was, indeed teaching third-graders. This early ambition was fueled by the positive impact her own teachers had on her life and she has since dedicated herself to making a similar difference in the lives of students and educators. 

Over the years, Ms. Patton has served in various teaching and administrative. Her experience has solidified her belief that academic, social, emotional and behavioral growth are essential to developing the whole child. Ms. Patton is committed to inspiring, growing, challenging, collaborating, innovating and support all students and stakeholders.

She envisions a school where every individual believes in their boundless potential. At Alyssa Ferguson Elementary, students are encouraged to seize opportunities to make a difference and become world changers, just like Alyssa.
