Whenever possible, medication prescribed by a doctor should be given at home by the parents/guardian. However, when this is not feasible, or if a dose is needed during school hours, then medications can be stored and administered in the clinic. The parent/guardian must supply all medications needed to be given during the school day.
Students cannot carry any medication at school, including over-the-counter medicine such as cough drops, Tylenol, etc. At the end of the school year, any remaining student medication must be picked up by parents/guardian.
Student Health Forms
For students with specific medical needs (i.e. medications, food allergies, asthma, etc.), the link below will take you to FBISD's medical forms. New forms must be completed and submitted to your school nurse each academic year.
