• The Texas Bluebonnet Award books and voting are for all 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade students in Texas.  A student must read five or more of the 20 books nominated in order to participate in the Bluebonnet Award voting. Voting will take place in January. We will hold a celebration for all who participated in the Bluebonnet Award reading and voting in March.

    Students will log their reading in Schoology this year. In order to receive credit for a Bluebonnet book they have read, they need to fill out the form on the Texas Bluebonnet Reading folder in Schoology. Once students have read five books and filled out five forms, they will qualify to vote for their favorite book, be invited to the Bluebonnet Party in March, and receive an award at the end of the year.

    Please know that we only have about two copies of each of these books at our school due to budget constraints. If your child cannot find the Bluebonnet books they want at school, I highly recommend checking your Fort Bend County Library branch!
