My name is Erika Rubin and I am very excited to be your third grade teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. 

I am a product of Fort Bend schools and am proud to be teaching here in this district. I am a native Houstonian and graduated from the University of Houston. Go Coogs! This is my 20th year at Oakland and my 22nd year in Fort Bend ISD. Teaching is truly my passion and I can’t think of a better place to be than Oakland Elementary!

I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two beautiful boys and two dogs, Belle and Draco.  I will have a high school graduate and an 11th grader this year. I love spending my free time with them, whether it be at football games, watching movies, or just playing outside! We are big Houston Texans fans around our house!

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be your teacher this year. We will learn and grow so much together!
