Welcome to 4th grade ELAR and Social Studies!
My name is Laura Yarrow and this is my 15th year at Colony Bend Elementary School. I was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and grew up in Wilton, Connecticut. I graduated from Bishop's University in Lennoxville, Quebec, and earned a masters degree from Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut. Before I had children, I taught for three years at the Greenwich Japanese School, and two years in seventh grade ELA at Central Middle School in Greenwich, Connecticut. After I had my three children, I stayed home until they were all in school. That's when I joined Colony Bend Elementary. I taught special education for seven years, in PPCD and BIC. Since then, I have been teaching in third, fourth, and fifth grade. I love my job!
I have three fantastic children. My oldest is a junior at Texas A&M University. My younger two are twins! My son is a sophomore at Purdue University, and his twin sister is a sophomore at Bishop's University (my alma mater!). I'm so proud of them!!
I love teaching and I'm so happy to be part of the Colony Bend family! Go Eagles!
