Hello Leonetti Lions!

My name is Mary Ann Karlsson, and this is my first year at Leonetti!

After nine lucky years of staying home and substituting as a math specialist, I am back to my first love-- being a classroom teacher!  My teaching career began in 2001 as a third grade teacher at Boone Elementary in Alief ISD.  In 2008, I moved to Fort Bend ISD in the inaugural year of Armstrong Elementary as the math specialist. After six years, I became an ESL specialist, before staying home in 2015.

My husband, Magnus, and I are proud parents to two beautiful boys, Markus and Mattias.  They will attend Ridge Point HS as a senior and freshman, respectively. What a big year for the Karlsson Family! 

We are a HUGE soccer family!  When we are not at home, you will most likely find us on the pitch watching our boys train, or traveling for games and tournaments.  And, if Manchester United has a match, we are cheering them on as well! Go Red Devils!

I am beyond excited to be part of the first grade team and the Pride at Leonetti Elementary-- "The Greatest Place to be a Kid!"
