Welcome to Ms. Townsend's Third Grade classroom! I am looking forward to an exciting and rewarding year with your children! I’m so excited to have your child in my classroom this year. Get ready for a year full of learning, laughter, and math magic!

I’ve been teaching since 2015 and feel incredibly lucky to be part of the amazing third grade team! I graduated from Lamar University with a Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies and am certified to teach Early Childhood through 6th grade. Over the years, I’ve taught 5th grade reading, and all subjects in 3rd grade — but math has always been my favorite! I love helping students see how fun and powerful numbers can be. Whether we’re solving word problems, exploring geometry, or mastering multiplication, I’m here to make math exciting and meaningful.

My goal is to create a positive, supportive classroom where all students feel confident, capable, and cared for. Communication with families is very important to me, so never hesitate to reach out! I can’t wait to partner with you to make this year one of growth, discovery, and lots of math fun.
