My name is Leah Harris, and I am the school counselor at Pecan Grove Elementary School.  I am excited for the 2024-2025 school year on a campus with students I adore.  I've been in education for over 25 years including being a special education teacher for twelve years (of which eight have been at PGE).  Having lived in Alaska for 21 years, I've had the pleasure of working with diverse and special populations.  I have a passion for students and families and look forward to being a resource for all.  

I have four children and two grandsons.  My family loves road trips, baseball, and country music.  We are also huge Houston Astros fans.  I attended the University of Alaska Anchorage, University of Houston Downtown, and finished my Masters of Education in School Counseling at Houston Baptist University.  

I am excited to partner with the staff at PGE, students and their families, and the Pecan Grove community.  Go Cougar Cubs!
