Hello, my name is Hershelle Elumelu, and I have dedicated 13 years to the field of education. My husband hails from Nigeria, and together we have three sons who are currently in elementary and middle school. As a proud Townewest Texan, I strive to lead by example every day, demonstrating my P.R.I.D.E. to both students and parents. Hello Texans, my name is Rachel Menefee, and I have dedicated 10 years to the field of education. Yet, this is my fourth year in FBISD and my first year at Townewest. I am exciting for this opportunity and to be working with all the Townewest Texans. I strive to lead with a serving, caring heart while demonstrating my P.R.I.D.E to both students and parents. Dyslexia Teacher-Yolanda Garcia

Hello and Welcome, I am the Bilingual Dyslexia Intervention Teacher at TWE! This is my second time around at Townewest Elementary School, I first started as a Bilingual 1st-grade teacher and transitioned on to becoming our Descubriendo La Lectura/ Bilingual Specialist for our campus. After 12 years in that position, I became a Bilingual Dyslexia Specialist now going on 6 years. All in all, I have 22 years of experience in the educational field. I feel extremely lucky to have the opportunity to work and support our students. I look forward to continuing to see our students become independent readers/writers and long life-learners.

Bilingual Specialist-Efigenia Zambrano

Hello! My name is Efigenia Zambrano. I am excited to be in my 11th year in the field of education and proud to serve as the Bilingual Specialist at Townewest Elementary. I began my teaching career as a 5th grade bilingual teacher. After five years in the classroom, I became an English Language Development Interventionist. Last year, I was a Science Specialist. In my role, I work closely with teachers of Emergent Bilingual students to help them use effective strategies for dual language inmersion and second language support. My goal is to make sure every student can reach their highest academic potential.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially being outdoors and visiting amusement parks. I’m looking forward to a fantastic year together!

Hello Texans! My name is Maria Eisenhour and I am from Mexico. I am the Bilingual Intervention Teacher at Townewest Elementary, with over 13 years in education and more than a decade serving our school community. I’m proud to provide language and literacy support to our bilingual learners, from kindergarten through fifth grade, while also empowering my fellow teachers to build their capacity. Math Interventionist – Melissa Johnson

Hello, fellow Texans! My name is Mrs. Johnson and I am excited to be your math interventionist again this year. I’d like to share a little bit about myself with you and am eager to build relationships with each of you as we grow as learners!

I have been an educator in FBISD since 2006. My role at TWE is to build relationships with students, parents, and teachers as I provide focused math interventions to identified students in kindergarten through fifth grade. I couldn’t be happier than I am as an educator working to prepare students for success!

Literacy Interventionist-Blair Chamberlain

My name is Blair Chamberlain, I was born and raised in Oklahoma. I have been teaching since 2013. I am extremely grateful to be one of the Literacy Interventionists on campus. My role is to provide engaging language and literacy support to our students in kinder through fifth grade as well as support teachers. Mrs. Literacy Interventionist-Perla Agosto

Hello, my name is Perla Agosto. I have been an educator for over 20 years. I am both excited and honored to begin a new role as a Literacy Interventionist Teacher. In this role, my goal is to help students strengthen their reading skills by building a strong foundation in phonics, fluency, and comprehension. Through targeted, data-driven instruction, I strive to support each student in becoming a confident, capable reader who can progress toward and beyond grade-level proficiency.
