• Hello Parents,

    The Course Selection Guide has just been released! You can access it through the link below. It will answer a lot of the questions you might have regarding details about certain courses before parent night.
     
    Attached, you will also find a course selection sheet. This is the sheet you will use to make your selections for your child.  A paper copy will be sent home with your child by Friday, the 19th. First Colony sheets will be copied on blue paper and Fort Settlement sheets will be copied on pink. Once you review the different courses you can discuss the options as a family and make your selections. The sheets are due back to the homeroom teacher by January 26th.
     
    I recommend making a copy or taking a picture before returning it just in case you forget what you selected, or the form gets lost. Starting Monday, January 29th, I will meet with each class and your child will enter the selections into their Skyward account, not the parents' account. I am going to make sure the students enter what is on their sheet. So please make final selections before turning in the sheet. 
     
    Elective choices:
    The form asks you for your 1st choice and then 3 additional alternates or back-up choices. If the form is turned in with only 1, I will be asking your child to fill in the remaining selections. These are only used in the event that the first choice is full. Please number your elective choices 1 through 4. If you only put check marks, I will not know what the top priority is. 
     
    Important dates to remember!
    FCMS:
    First Colony Parent Night for incoming 6th graders: February 6th, 6:00-7:30
    The 5th Grade Visitation day field trip is Wednesday, February 7th 9:00 to 10:45am.
    *All students will attend the visitation on the 7th with teachers and Mrs. Loesch, parents do NOT need to bring students to this event.

    FSMS:
    Fort Settlement Parent Night for incoming 6th graders: January 23rd. 
    The 5th Grade Visitation day field trip is Monday, January 29th 9:00 to 10:45am.
    *Only students who are zoned to FSMS will need to decide if they will attend this event. Parents will need to pick up their child from SWE by 8:45 and return them after the event. 
     
    GT Students: 
    If you are interested in the GT Academy with Quail Valley, information will come out soon to your email. It will include information on how to apply. You can also go to the website below for more information.
