I am from New Orleans, Louisiana. I have been married for thirty-six years. I have one daughter who teaches history in high school. I love to travel and spend time together with my extended family. I have been teaching for forty years. I have been teaching in Fort Bend for  the last 20 years. 

I received both my Masters of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction and my Bachelors of Arts degree from Xavier University of, Louisiana. I  was a certified LATIP Mentor and Assessor in New Orleans. I taught the Severe Emotionally Distrubed/Behavior Disorder population for twenty years at Waters Elementary School in New Orleans, Louisiana, where I also held various other positions, such as, department chair, co-chair of both the Student Assistant Team and 504 Accommodations Plan. I was a member of the Principal's Executive Board and Teacher of the Year in 2005-2006. That was the year Katrina came.

As a result, I moved to Texas in 2005. I taught ELA and Life Skills at Hodges Bend Middle School for two years. I have been teaching at Holley Elementary since 2007. I taught the Adaptive Behavior Class (Autistic) my first year at Holley. I found that class to be my most challenging class in forty years. This year, I am thrilled to be teaching Resource. It gives me pleasure to see the students who I have been fortunate to teach, grow and overcome everyday obstacles. Special-needs children have always held a special place in my heart.
