Hello, Welcome to 3rd Grade !

     My name is Sara Hanning. I am a Bilingual Language Arts and Social Studies Teacher. This is my 30th year in education. I have taught Pre-K through 4th grade over the years and served as a Literacy Coach. I am excited to come back to Holley. We will have an amazing year of learning and growing.

     I am a Mexican-American Mom of three wonderful young boys. I was born in Monterrey, N.L. Mexico and 19 years ago we made Houston our home. I graduated from Universidad de Monterrey with a Bachelor in Education in 1997 and earned a Master's degree in Education in 2004 from Southern New Hampshire University. I taught 10 years in Monterrey before coming to Texas. Coming to Texas, I first started teaching here in FBISD then moved to Alief ISD for 9 years, last year I come back to teach in FBISD.

     I enjoy teaching and building relationships with students and their families. It is important to me to have a safe and enjoyable learning environment where we can learn from each other. I am looking forward to seeing my students grow and learn this year. It will be the best year yet!

¡Hola, Bienvenidos a 3er grado!

     Me llamo Sara Hanning. Soy maestra de lectura, escritura y estudios sociales bilingüe. Este es mi treintavo (30) año en educación. He enseñado grados desde Pre Kinder hasta 4to grado a través de los años y he servido como especialista de lectura y coach. Estoy emocionada de  enseñar  este año en Holley nuevamente. Tendremos un año maravilloso de aprendizaje y crecimiento.

     Soy una mamá Mexico-Americana de tres niños fabulosos. Nací en Monterrey, N.L. México y hace 19 años hicimos Houston nuestro hogar. Me gradué como Licenciada en Ciencias de la Educación de la Universidad de Monterrey en 1997 y obtuve una Maestría en Educación en 2004 de Southern New Hampshire University. Enseñé 10 años en Monterrey antes de venir a Texas. Empecé como maestra en Texas en FBISD y después me fuí a Alief por  9 años, el  año pasado regresé a FBISD.

     Me gusta ser maestra y construir relaciones positivas con mis alumnos y sus familias. Es muy importante para mi  construir un ambiente de aprendizaje seguro y disfrutable donde podamos aprender unos de otros. Estoy esperando ver a mis alumnos crecer y aprender este año. ¡Será el mejor año escolar nunca antes vivido!
