Hi! I’m Ms. Konate, and I’m so excited to be your Social Studies teacher this year. I’ve always had a passion for history and education and it’s what led me to earn my B.A. in History from the University of Houston, my M.A. in History from Texas Southern University, and to continue my journey now as a Doctoral student in Educational Leadership at Houston Christian University. In our class, I want to make history come alive. It’s not just about dates and events. It’s about stories, connections, and understanding how the past shapes our present and future. My goal is to create a welcoming space where you feel valued, challenged, and inspired to think critically and explore different perspectives. When I’m not teaching, I love watching documentaries, reading historical novels, traveling, visiting museums, and spending time with my family. I can’t wait to share my love for history with you and make this a fun, meaningful year of learning together. Let’s make it a great year!
