  • 8TH GRADE STUDENTS

    The time is NOW to complete your 4 year plan in Naviance. Are you stuck? Still have questions? Ms. Burr and Ms. Juniel are available morning, noon and ‘night’ every Thursday. They will be in the computer labs before and after school and in the COMMONS during lunch EVERY THURSDAY! The deadline to have ALL 4 year plans submitted has been extended to April 3, 2017. Let’s do this Longhorns!

    1. Pass all 8th Grade Classes
    2. Rock your STAAR Grade 8 tests
    3. Enjoy NY nightlife at your 8th grade exit party

  • STAAR Testing is Here!

    On Tuesday, March 28, 2017, 7th Grade student will be taking the Writing STAAR test and the 8th Grade students will be taking the Math test.  Algebra students will not be taking this test.  

    NOTE: These students should bring sack lunches with them, including the Algebra students who will not be taking the test.  Sixth grade students will have a regular day.

     

    On Wednesday, March 29, 2017, all 8th grade students will be taking the STAAR reading test.  

    NOTE: These students should bring sack lunches with them on this day.  Seventh and Eighth grade students will have a regular day.

     

    On Friday, March 24, 2017, all students will have an opportunity to practice where they will be going to take the STAAR test in a "dry run."  This will be done during advisory class.

  • Course Selection for 2017-2018 is Underway!

    Longhorn Students and Parents, it's already time to prepare for next year by choosing your courses and electives.  The counseling team has already begun meeting with students and sharing information for next year.  Please complete the steps to finalize course requests for next year according to the deadlines.  Follow the links below for more information.

  • Hour of Code a fun way to learn computer science topics!

    Baines students will have an opportunity on December 7th and 8th in the morning from 8:10 - 8:45 as a way to be introduced to computer science topics.  Sign up can sign up to participate via Longhorn Links (through their parents) or through the library with a parent permission slip.

  • Important Notice concerning the Fire Lanes and Parking In Front

    Please note that on Monday, October 31st, you will be requried to park in the front parking lot during the day if you are picking up your child or dropping something off for your child.  During the day, we must leave the fire lane open in the event of an emergency.  The drivie will still be open for drop-off in the morning and pick-up in the afterrnoon.  Thank you for helping us ensure we are provding a safe inviornment for our students, staff, and parents.
