I am so excited to be a part of the Cornerstone Elementary family! I am a product of Fort Bend ISD; I attended Dulles Elementary, Sugar Land Middle School, and Clements High School. I went to college at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, graduating with degrees in Psychology and Broadcast Journalism. I worked in sports marketing for several years before deciding that my heart was in education. I got my certification and taught Communication Applications and Video Technology at Dulles High School. I received my Master’s in school counseling from Houston Baptist University and left FBISD to be a counselor at Bellaire High School.
After seven years of high school counseling, I realized that I missed the elementary levels that I enjoyed so much when I visited them as part of my sports marketing jobs. I decided that it was time to make a switch, and thankfully, I was hired at Cornerstone. Being a Chameleon has been an amazing experience so far, and I have really enjoyed meeting and learning about all of the fantastic students we have here.
I have two wonderful (but exhausting) children: Emeline and Will. I love playing with them, whether it’s Stomp Rockets in the yard or baking in the kitchen. My hobbies include shuttling my children to various activities and classes, doing CrossFit, and reading while my cats nap next to me.
