Addie Heyliger was sworn into office at the September 15, 2025 general board meeting to fill a vacant position.

She is a seasoned technology professional with more than 20 years of experience collaborating with senior business executives and technical teams. She currently leads initiatives in business engagement, project management and portfolio value delivery.

Heyliger is passionate about serving her community.

She was previously elected to FBISD’s Board in 2015 and again in 2018, where she served in several roles, including Board President. 

Heyliger believes the foundation of a child’s education is the ability to read. During her first two terms on the Board, she initiated “Addie’s Read-A-Thon,” where more than 70 volunteers from the community and professional organizations volunteered their time at FBISD campuses.

She is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., The Links Incorporated, Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and The Fort Bend Church. 

Heyliger received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and her Master of Business Administration from Texas Women’s University. 

She raised two children in Fort Bend ISD schools and has been a resident of Fort Bend County for more than 20 years.
