Greetings Students and Parents,
Course requests for the 2025-26 school year have been posted in the "Portfolio" tab in Skyward Student Access for verification purposes. The window to complete verification will be open from March 3-7,2025. To access, click on the Portfolio tab and then click on the Course Request Report 25-26. Courses listed are "ONLY" requests and not an actual schedule.
After reviewing your requests, if everything is correct, no follow-up is needed.
To correct an error or change a request, please follow the flowchart below.
The counseling department will NOT accept emails or telephone call verifications during or after this date.
As a reminder, counselors will verify the course requests in Skyward match the courses selected on the course selection sheet.
Also, counselors will verify that students have met the prerequisites for courses chosen. If students have not met the prerequisites, the counselor will consult with the student.
Special notes:
Students interested in taking HCC Dual Credit courses must ensure their paperwork is completed by the deadline discussed at the Dual Credit presentations with Ms. Richter.
Students planning to take dual-credit summer courses will need to have all the paperwork completed and turn into Ms. Richter.
Dual credit summer courses such as Government and Economics should not be listed on a student's course verification sheet.
If your student is planning to take a course via an approved FBISD external provider such as: TXVSN, TTU, or UT, approval from the counselor MUST BE obtained prior to registering for the course. Credit will not be accepted if approval was not given.
