Hello! My name is Courtney Muceus, and I am honored to be the Principal at Elkins High School. I have been in Education for 24 years with the last 10 years serving as an Administrator. Before coming to Elkins HS, I was the Principal at First Colony Middle School. As you may know, many FCMS students feed into Elkins High School. Through my time serving at FCMS, I was able to build strong relationships with many families and community members, and I am extremely grateful that I get to continue serving this wonderful community.
I attended Stephen F. Austin State University for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees. I am currently attending the University of Houston working toward a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership. When I’m not working or studying, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My daughter, Alyssa, is a recent graduate from Texas A&M University, and my son, Jake, is a construction manager for a Houston area home builder. I also enjoy reading, cooking, and spending time with friends.
We are going to have a wonderful year at the EHS Castle! I look forward to partnering with our students, staff, and families to help our students reach high levels of academic success.
