My name is Mr. Bishop and I have been in education for 18 years.  I spent 16 years as a high school science teacher, soccer coach, and swim coach.  I have also served in various leadership positions, including the Physics Team Lead, Science Department Head, and Special Education Department Head.  This is my 10^th year in Fort Bend ISD and my 4^th year at Elkins High School. This is my first year as an Assistant Principal.

 

I earned a double major Bachelor of Science in Composite Science and Pedagogy from Houston Baptist University.  I also received a Master of Education in Administration from Lamar University.  My wife, Ellen, is a Literacy Interventionist at an elementary school in the district, and I have 2 adult children who work for the district.  I have a special bond with Elkins as we have lived in its attendance zone for nearly 2 decades, and I even have a child that graduated from Elkins. I am thankful for the opportunity to serve your students, my neighbors, and my community.
