Cornerstone Elementary School
Located in the Telfair neighborhood of Sugar Land, Texas, Cornerstone Elementary opened its doors in the fall of 2007. The school quickly established a reputation for academic excellence and strong community engagement.
Currently, Dr. Alexis Prudhomme serves as the principal of Cornerstone Elementary, continuing the legacy of success and innovation. Under her leadership, the school implemented the Ron Clark Academy House System, fostering a vibrant sense of community, teamwork, and school spirit. In addition, Dr. Prudhomme and the Instructional Leadership Team have established Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) focused on improving instructional practices and analyzing student work to drive a continuous cycle of improvement.
Cornerstone Elementary is proudly "Leading the PAC" and is ranked in the top 1% of schools in the state of Texas, making it one of the best schools in Fort Bend ISD. True to its mascot, the Chameleons, Cornerstone has continually evolved to meet the needs of its students. As the school transitions to a more focused enrollment, it is enhancing its ability to develop critical skills and provide individualized support to help students thrive.
The campus remains at the forefront of educational innovation, embracing advancements in technology and implementing instructional strategies that empower students. Cornerstone Elementary is steadfast in its dedication to the Fort Bend ISD mission: to equip, inspire, and prepare students for a future beyond what they can imagine.
