Houston Texans Johnathan Joseph and UnitedHealthcare donate Weight Room Equipment to Willowridge High School (2/13/2018)
FORT BEND ISD (February 13, 2018) – Willowridge High School athletes are back on track with their campus workouts, thanks to Houston Texans cornerback Johnathan Joseph and UnitedHealthcare. Joseph partnered with UnitedHealthcare to donate new weight room equipment to the school. The donation was made possible by a $10,000 grant from UnitedHealthcare to Joseph’s Dreambuilders program.
“I am glad to partner with UnitedHealthcare to give these guys a chance to move up in their athletic careers,” said Joseph. “This weight room represents all the hard work they’ll put into their school programs.”
Joseph joined UnitedHealthcare CEO Dave Milich in presenting WHS administrators with the grant during a dedication ceremony at the school. The new weight room equipment replaces items damaged by mold discovered at Willowridge this summer.
“UnitedHealthcare is committed to helping people live healthier lives,” said Milich. “We hope that through the partnership with Dreambuilders and Johnathan Joseph, the weight room will help Willowridge students and staff live healthier lives.”
“It’s humbling to see the many blessings that have resulted from this partnership,” said WHS Head Football Coach Richard Lazarou. “UnitedHealthcare and Dreambuilders are showing that they really care about our students. When students see how much the community cares, they start to care about themselves, and that’s a good thing.”
Following the presentation, Joseph joined WHS football players in testing out the new equipment.
