FORT BEND ISD (April 24, 2026) – Fort Bend ISD’s 2026 Elementary and Secondary Teachers of the Year are Sullivan Elementary Special Education teacher Fawzia Elsaadi and Sugar Land Middle School Theatre Arts teacher Shenoa Cramer.

They were announced at the district’s annual Teacher of the Year banquet on April 23.

Navigating the special education system as a parent showed Elsaadi how overwhelming the process can be for families. Those experiences led her to pursue teaching so families will never feel alone, unheard, or unsupported.

Cramer teaches young people to become the best versions of themselves. In her classroom all students are seen, valued, and safe.

Elsaadi and Cramer will now advance to the regional Teacher of the Year competition, with an opportunity to move on to the Texas Teacher of the Year Program.

Finalists for the district’s Teacher of the Year, along with Rookie Teachers of the Year and Principals of the Year were also honored at the banquet.
