FBISD Middle School Students Showcase Business Ideas at Junior Achievement Pop-Up Event

FORT BEND ISD (March 13, 2026) – Fort Bend ISD middle school student entrepreneurs showcased business ideas during the Junior Achievement (JA) Company Program Pop-Up Showcase, hosted by the district’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department at the James Reese Career and Technical Center.

The showcase highlighted months of hands-on learning as students worked collaboratively to develop business concepts, create products, and prepare professional presentations.

Students from Bowie, Dulles, Fort Settlement, McAuliffe and Sartartia middle schools participated in the event. They were guided by instructors Melissa Jimenez (Bowie), Linda Hopson (Dulles), Talton Edmond (Fort Settlement), Corin Miller (McAuliffe) and Julia Stigler (Sartartia).

Three teams were recognized for their outstanding work:

1st Place: Fort Settlement Middle School – Butterfly Blossom
2nd Place: McAuliffe Middle School – Nex Gen ID
3rd Place: Fort Settlement Middle School – Duradish

Fort Bend ISD’s CTE programs provide students with real-world learning experiences that build skills in communication, collaboration, creativity and leadership.
