FORT BEND ISD (March 9, 2026) – Fort Bend ISD Chief Communications Officer Chassidy Olainu-Alade was named the 2026 recipient of the Fort Bend County Historical Commission’s Bert E. Bleil Heritage Award.

The award recognizes individuals or organizations for outstanding efforts to preserve and promote the history and cultural heritage of Fort Bend County. It is presented annually in honor of the late Bert E. Bleil, a former chair of the commission who championed historical preservation in the community.

Through her leadership and passion for community storytelling, Olainu-Alade has helped highlight important historical narratives that connect Fort Bend County’s past with its future.
