Clements High School JROTC Earns Top Honors in Cybersecurity, Drill and Academics
FORT BEND ISD (February 26, 2026) — Clements High School’s Navy JROTC program is celebrating major success across multiple competitions, showcasing excellence in computer science, leadership, discipline and academics.
The Cyber Patriot Team (Gold Division) claimed First Place at the National Championship. The competition, created by the Air & Space Forces Association, challenges students to defend virtual networks against cyber threats. The national title places these self-coached cadets among the top youth cybersecurity competitors in the country.
Also, the cadets recently finished Second Place Overall at the Navy JROTC Area Drill Championship, competing against 27 teams and marking five consecutive years placing first or second, and 13 consecutive years qualifying for Area and/or State competition.
Among 698 Navy JROTC teams worldwide, the Clements Joint Leadership Academic Bowl (JLAB) Team advanced to the 2026 U.S. Navy JROTC Academic Bowl Championship in Washington, D.C., placing them among the elite eight teams in the nation and marking its fourth consecutive year.
