Sullivan Elementary Special Education Teacher Leads with Heart and Impact and Earns PAC Award

FORT BEND ISD (December 11, 2025) – Sullivan Elementary special education teacher Fawzia Elsaadi received the Fort Bend ISD (FBISD) December PAC Award for her outstanding commitment to professionalism, accountability and communication.

Elsaadi was shocked when district leaders, coworkers, students and family surprised her with the award. Principal Donna Whisonant nominated Elsaadi because she consistently serves students, families and colleagues with excellence and compassion.

“There is not anyone who has a more servant heart,” Principal Whisonant said. “It is an honor and a privilege to be able to recognize her, especially at the district level, for everyone to see and hear about the amazing things that she does on a daily basis.”

Elsaadi goes above and beyond for her students and team, builds lasting relationships with families, and celebrates her colleagues. She mentors teachers throughout the district, assists multiple campuses with SPED documentation and procedures, and ensures parents feel informed, supported and heard. She also attends student events when families cannot, so they never feel alone.

When asked what it means to her when people recognize her work, Elsaadi became emotional, stating, “I don’t do anything for recognition. I feel like this is something that I was meant to do. I just want to make sure all the kids are seen for who they are.”
