Principal Spotlight: Stephanie Woodard, Ferndell Henry Elementary

FORT BEND ISD (October 28, 2025) – During Principal Appreciation Month, Fort Bend ISD recognizes Ferndell Henry Elementary’s leader, Stephanie Woodard for her passion and commitment to students and staff.

A proud Fort Bend ISD graduate, she attended Jones Elementary, Missouri City Middle School and Willowridge High School, later returning to begin her teaching career at McAuliffe Middle School.

“There have been several educators in my family, and my sister is a principal in a neighboring school district,” Woodard said. “Education is valued in my family, and it shows in our career paths.”

One of her proudest moments as principal was welcoming students on the first day Ferndell Henry Elementary opened its doors.

“It was incredible to see the excitement of our students and parents as they entered our new campus,” she said. “I love the energy and vibrance of the school setting. Nothing has been more fulfilling and impactful than serving and leading students and teachers.”

Guided by the school’s motto, “Leading our Rams with purpose and positivity,” Woodard strives to create meaningful experiences that nurture both academic and social growth.

“As the first principal of this new school community, I’m determined to establish systems and traditions that will take root and flourish for years to come,” she said.

October is National Principal Appreciation Month. Fort Bend ISD is proud to celebrate all our principals.
