Fort Bend ISD (June 26, 2025) - Fort Bend ISD welcomed nearly 900 vendors and small businesses to its first-ever Vendor Fair and Trade Show, hosted by its Small Business Enterprise Program. 

The event allowed attendees to network, explore partnership opportunities and hear from guest speakers on topics such as community engagement, small business collaboration and the impact on public education. 

Small Business Enterprise Coordinator Jeanette Boleware planned the event to increase the district’s outreach and ensure every qualified vendor has a chance to compete for work on FBISD construction projects.  

“When we increase participation, we improve quality, pricing and community impact,” she said. 

FBISD Deputy Superintendent Kathleen Brown expressed her delight over the turnout. 

“I am overwhelmed that so many took the time out of their schedule to attend,” she said. “Jeanette Boleware has done a phenomenal job, and we couldn’t be more proud of this event today.”
