Applications for FBISD High School Programs of Choice open, due Nov. 30 (11/19/2021)

FORT BEND ISD (Nov. 19, 2021) – The applications for Fort Bend ISD’s High School Programs of Choice are open, and all eighth-grade students are encouraged to apply.

Each program requires a separate application, which are due November 30, 2021.

The FBISD Academies application can be completed at https://academy.fortbendisd.com/.

FBISD has six high school academies, which include:

  • Digital Media Academy at Hightower High School
  • Engineering Academy at Elkins High School
  • Global Studies Academy at Travis High School
  • International Business and Marketing Academy at Travis High School
  • Math and Science Academy at Dulles High School
  • Medical Science Academy at Hightower High School

The District has an Early College High School (ECHS) program, which offers students up to 60 hours, or two years, of tuition-free college credit. The program is housed at Marshall High School.

There are also two Pathways in Technology (P-TECH) programs, which also offer college credit to students, in one of two areas.

  • Health Sciences at Hightower High School
  • Computer Science at Willowridge High School

Through the Department of Fine Arts and the University of Houston’s Moores School of Music, the District offers a Piano Technician program housed at Marshall High School. The program offers students a chance to train as a piano technician or tuner upon graduation. The application can be completed at https://bit.ly/3b1x2Lf.
