Fort Settlement Middle School student among rare company in national science competition (10/12/2021)

FORT BEND ISD (Oct. 12, 2021) – Lea Farah, an eighth-grade student at Fort Settlement Middle School (FSMS), was named to the 2021 Broadcom MASTERS Top 300 list. The top 300 students were chosen from the more than 1,800 entrants received from across the United States and its territories.

 

Her project, “Twisted Light and Its Application in Quantum Computing,” earned First Prize in Physics and Astronomy at the Science & Engineering Fair of Houston, the only middle school project from Fort Bend ISD to advance to the state competition. Lea was supported by FSMS teacher Karen Staley.
