Information for Parents of Graduating Seniors (3/24/2021)
FORT BEND ISD (March 24, 2021) – Fort Bend ISD looks forward to honoring the accomplishments of our graduates each year, as this is the culmination of our work to develop students who exhibit the attributes of the Profile of a Graduate. This year, Administration, in collaboration with campus principals, has given careful consideration on how best to proceed with spring activities that honor and celebrate our students, but continue to follow our District’s safety protocols.
Administration provided the following guidelines for campuses to hold senior activities. Campuses are encouraged to receive feedback from their students when planning these events.
In lieu of prom, campuses will offer an on-campus, outdoor event that promotes social distancing.
End of Year activities, including banquets and award ceremonies, can be held virtually or as a curb-side activity.
Campuses may choose to host additional events with feedback from their students, but must follow FBISD’s safety protocols.
Smaller scale student events may be approved on a case-by-case basis by campus administration.
As previously communicated, FBISD graduation ceremonies will take place outdoors at Hall Stadium in June. For a complete list of campus ceremony times and dates, visit our website at www.fortbendisd.com/graduation. Each student will receive either five or six tickets, depending on their class size.
Additional details for spring activities and graduation ceremonies will be provided to students by their respective campuses in the coming weeks.
