FBISD Reimagined: Relaunch Update (9/15/2020)

FORT BEND ISD (September 15, 2020) – Fort Bend ISD continues planning for the safe and successful transition to face-to-face instruction, following the launch of the 2020-21 school year with only online instruction. 

During the Board of Trustees meeting Monday, September 14, the Board of Trustees approved a transition timeline that will bring staff back to work on September 23, and students will begin a phased transition to face-to-face instruction September 28. The phased entry will take place by grade level, and a high-level overview is provided below:

September 23:          Staff members return to campus

September 28:          PreK/Kinder

September 30:          1st Grade

October 2:                 2nd Grade

October 5:                 6th/9th Grade

October 6:                 3rd Grade

October 7:                 7th/10th Grade

October 8:                 4th Grade

October 9:                 5th/8th/11th/12th Grades

*Note: Full transition to face-to-face instruction may occur at different calendar dates for elementary and secondary.

Bell Schedules:

Elementary                8:00 a.m. – 12 p.m.             8:10 a.m. – 3:25 p.m.

Middle School           9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.          8:50 a.m. – 4:05 p.m.

High School              9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.          7:30 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.

FBISD will continue to update this website and online FAQ about the transition plans, and information about student schedules will be shared directly from your child’s campus in days leading up to the transition.
