FORT BEND ISD (September 15, 2020) – Fort Bend ISD continues planning for the safe and successful transition to face-to-face instruction, following the launch of the 2020-21 school year with only online instruction.
During the Board of Trustees meeting Monday, September 14, the Board of Trustees approved a transition timeline that will bring staff back to work on September 23, and students will begin a phased transition to face-to-face instruction September 28. The phased entry will take place by grade level, and a high-level overview is provided below:
September 23: Staff members return to campus
September 28: PreK/Kinder
September 30: 1st Grade
October 2: 2nd Grade
October 5: 6th/9th Grade
October 6: 3rd Grade
October 7: 7th/10th Grade
October 8: 4th Grade
October 9: 5th/8th/11th/12th Grades
*Note: Full transition to face-to-face instruction may occur at different calendar dates for elementary and secondary.
High School 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. 7:30 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.
