Multiple dates and locations set through June
FORT BEND ISD (May 21, 2020) – Fort Bend ISD’s Collaborative Communities Department continues its partnership with the Houston Food Bank to provide food items and toiletries to families throughout the community. Since March 24 through May 15, a total of 2,732 FBISD families (including 6,151 children and 6,581 adults) have been served meals through this partnership.
Now through June 25, families can stop by select FBISD campuses from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. to receive free items. All District families are welcome to participate. Items will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last.
Upcoming food distribution dates and locations include:
Wednesday, May 27 at Dulles High School (550 Dulles Ave, Sugar Land, 77478)
Friday, May 29 at Dulles High School (550 Dulles Ave, Sugar Land, 77478)
Thursday, June 4 at Willowridge High School (16301 Chimney Rock Rd., Houston, 77053)
Thursday, June 11 at Bush High School (6707 FM 1464, Richmond, 77407)
Thursday, June 18 at Progressive High School (1555 Independence Blvd., Missouri City, 77489)
Thursday, June 25 at Travis High School (11111 Harlem Rd., Richmond, 77406)
Families can receive produce, protein and pantry items. In addition, families will be able to receive toiletry items (e.g., shampoo, body wash, deodorant, etc.) while supplies last courtesy of the District’s valued community partners who have donated these items. In keeping with proper social distancing measures, families will need to stay in their vehicles. Families will be asked some basic questions (including name, number of people in household and number of children), and they will not be turned away because of their answers.
