Fort Bend ISD employee hospitalized for COVID-19 (3/22/2020)
Fort Bend ISD - Fort Bend ISD has been notified that a male in his 50’s who works in the FBISD warehouse has been hospitalized with COVID-19. He recently traveled domestically during spring break and did not report to work upon his return.
The FBISD warehouse will be closed until further notice, with only one or two staff reporting for essential duty. The facility continues to be sanitized with the upmost care, and all FBISD employees are directed to continue to follow all CDC precautions and to practice social distancing.
Based on the information we have, it has been determined that the end of the 14-day incubation period for any FBISD employee who was exposed to this employee is Thursday, March 26. Again, if you feel ill, please consult with your physician and continue to take precautions by using appropriate hand-washing techniques and limiting your exposure to other people.
Fort Bend ISD is continuing to monitor the situation and is in constant communication with local health departments. Additional information will be provided if needed. Our best wishes go out to the employee for a full recovery.
