FBISD’s Communications Team receives several top awards at 2019 Texas School Public Relations Association Star Awards Program (3/2/2020)

FORT BEND ISD (March 2, 2020) – Fort Bend ISD’s Communications team has once again earned several awards in the annual Texas School Public Relations Association’s (TSPRA) Star Awards program. The awards program recognizes professional communicators in school districts, education foundations, education associations and organizations for their work in print and electronic media categories. This year, FBISD received 29 awards, including a Crystal Commendation, a Crystal Certificate of Merit, 2 Best of Category, 11 gold, 12 silver and 2 bronze awards for projects completed during the 2018-19 school year.

 

This year, 1,606 entries were submitted in the Star Awards program, which is the highest number of entries ever received since the program began. FBISD entered projects in the “More than 30,000 students” division of various categories and earned the following awards:

  • Crystal Commendation – Foundation Annual Campaign, Fort Bend Education Foundation 6th Annual Gala-Disco Fever
  • Crystal Commendation Award – Bond Election, 2018 Bond
  • Best of Category (2) – Handbook/Manual, High School Course Selection Guide and Website-Template Driven Design, Fort Bend ISD New District and Campus Web Design
  • Gold (11) – Invitation/Announcement/Postcard, Fort Bend Education Foundation 26th Annual Gala Disco Fever Invitation; Poster, Fort Bend ISD 26th Annual Food Tasting and Fair Poster; Handbook/Manual, High School Course Selection Guide; Photo-Academic/Classroom Subjects, Anticipation of a New Beginning; Photo-Other Subjects, FBISD Graduation 2019 Sea of Joy; Video Feature Story, Safety Message for Students; Video Promotional, 2014 Bond Update-October 2018, Video-Training/Instructional, Rhinoware Door Locks in FBISD; Computerized Presentation, The Frequency Podcast: Creativity as a Process, Art Education in FBISD and The Frequency Podcast: Building Strong Families, Building Student Success; and Website-Template Driven Design, Fort Bend ISD New District and Campus Web Design
