Join FBISD for a Heart-to-Heart on crisis support, February 12 (1/24/2020)

FORT BEND ISD (January 24, 2020) – Fort Bend ISD’s Collaborative Communities team invites all non-profit, interfaith entity, parent engagement organizations and other crisis support agencies to join them for a Heart to Heart meeting on February 12. The meeting will bring committed groups together to engage in important dialogue and brainstorm ideas for forming a stronger crisis support system for FBISD students and families.

The bi-monthly meeting gives community stakeholders an opportunity to network with District staff and others, while contributing to the success of students. During the Dec. 11 meeting, participants welcomed representatives from Fort Bend Family Promise, who provided information about the wrap around services they provide to homeless and displaced families. FBISD Coordinator of Mental Health and Social Worker Services Priti Avantsa and FBISD Shared Dreams Facilitator Bobbie Anderson also shared their vision and spoke of how the community can best support their departmental needs.

The Feb. 12 meeting will take place at the FBISD Distribution Center (555 Julie Rivers Dr., Sugar Land, 77478), from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. To register, visit
