Fort Bend ISD Police Department partners with Families Helping Families providing 200 Thanksgiving meals, groceries to community (12/3/2019)

FORT BEND ISD (December 3, 2019) - Officers from the Fort Bend ISD Police Department delivered to families nearly 200 Thanksgiving meals, an entire week of groceries and holiday gifts for students this past week. The department teamed up with Families Helping Families, a local non-profit serving families in need, corporate partners and volunteers to provide support to families of current FBISD students.

Organizers met at Madden Elementary School prior to the delivery day to unload and sort five box trucks full of groceries provided by H-E-B. For the past six years, the partnership has grown to include assistance from parent and student organizations, local law enforcement agencies and community members.
